Old Friends

Bramble

Donacre High Dance at Steeleigh

27/07/90 - 21/08/03
The true foundation bitch of the Steeleigh line, producing in her first litter her glorious son Steeleigh Black Magic, and in a repeat of that mating, his younger brother Steeleigh What A Mischief, only lightly shown due to never quite reading the script! A super bitch to base any kennel on, I had fun with her in the ring, but her greatest legacy was in her litters.

Bramble

Barney

Steeleigh Black Magic JW

12/06/93 - 21/06/02
My dog of a lifetime and most sadly missed by us all. He really began the whole story and with his success there was no going back - I was well and truly hooked! Rarely could you hope to have met such a wonderful ambassador for this most popular breed. He had everything you could ask for and more and we were privileged to have shared his 9 years of life, my only regret being I wished it was longer. He will never be forgotten.

Donacre High Antics at Steeleigh

09/09/91 - 21/08/03
The second delightful Donacre bitch who bounced her way to many wins in the show ring, but like Bramble, her greatest achievement came in the form of her stunning daughter Steeleigh Simply Classic, from whom all current dogs in the kennel are descended.

Steeleigh Simply Classic JW

14/03/96 - 23/11/04
Her name says it all. She was simply classic, not only doing wonders in the ring, but producing three fabulous litters - the finest legacy you could ask for. Finally and most importantly, the most wonderful dog to live with and like Barney, my only regret was that she wasn’t with us for longer.

Harry

Steeleigh Just the Ticket

06/02/2000 - 12/07/2002
Simply Classic’s nephew (produced from the only litter out of her litter sister Simply Stunning), Harry never fully read my script and was very difficult in his first year. He still managed some fine wins, including BPIS at Three Ridings LRC Open show and BPIS at U.R.C. Open show. At just over a year old he went to live with Brian & Audrey Hayward of the Donacre kennel, but tragically his life was cut short devastatingly young and he never lived to fulfil his early potential. We will never forget him!!
